Tour of Rome by private car with a chauffeur

Tour of Rome

Tour of Rome by private car with a chauffeur

The historic centre without maps, without public transport and without groups. The itinerary and the pace remain the passenger's own.

Rome is a poor city to visit in a hurry, and a worse one to visit in a group. The distances between landmarks are greater than they look on a map, much of the centre is a restricted traffic zone, and public transport rarely connects two consecutive monuments directly.

A tour by private car solves the problem of getting around and leaves the pleasure of visiting intact: the car moves between points and waits during the stops, while the programme stays in the passenger's hands. The service has a three-hour minimum.

Stop wherever you like

The car drops passengers in front of the monument and picks them up when the visit is over. Waiting is already covered by the hourly rate.

No group

The vehicle is reserved: there are no other passengers to wait for and no time to share.

Itinerary suggestions

Without a fixed plan, the service proposes a realistic route for the hours available, based on real visiting times.

Accessible to everyone

A formula suited to travelling with small children, elderly relatives or anyone with reduced mobility: you are set down at the entrance.

Works with cruises

For those disembarking at Civitavecchia, transfer and tour are combined into a single day built around the ship's schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Tour of Rome

Does the service include a tour guide?

No, and it is worth being clear about it: this is a chauffeur service. The vehicle reaches any point in the city and the driver offers practical guidance, but guided visits inside museums are a separate, regulated profession. A licensed guide can be recommended on request.

Can you drive into the historic centre?

Much of the centre is a restricted traffic zone, but authorised chauffeur vehicles may enter the permitted areas. Passengers are set down as close as possible to the landmark and picked up there or at an agreed point.

How many stops fit into 3 hours?

Realistically three or four landmarks with short stops for photographs. To visit museums, allow half a day: the Vatican Museums alone take around two hours.

Are museum tickets included?

No, the rates cover the car with a chauffeur. Entrance tickets remain the passengers' responsibility and are best bought online in advance, especially in high season.
