Frequently asked questions
Rome – Milan
How long does the journey from Rome to Milan take?
About five and a half hours of driving for five hundred and seventy kilometres, almost all motorway. With a short break it comes to six hours door to door.
Is the rate per person?
No, it is per vehicle. It covers the car with driver whether there are one or four passengers. On long journeys the sedan takes up to three passengers and the van up to seven.
Can we stop along the way?
Yes, and it is the reason many people choose the car. Florence, Bologna and Orvieto are on the route, Siena is a short way off the motorway. The stop is agreed in advance and the luggage stays in the car.
Is it better than the train?
It depends how many of you there are and how heavy the bags are. For one or two people travelling light into the centre, the high-speed train wins. For four with suitcases, or with a stop to make, the sum turns around.
